So today in this post I wanted to share everything about my skincare routine. It's a very simple and easy routine with only a few steps. Some of the products I use are even slightly D.I.Y-ish. I'll go over the steps I use for both my morning and evening routines. They are pretty much exactly the same, with only one or two things that I do differently.

For my morning routine, I start by washing my face with my favorite new cleanser, CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser. This is a super gentle but super effective face wash. It doesn't lather, which I love, yet it completely washes away all of my makeup, not that I typically wake up with make up on my face, but yeah, in the evening, it takes care of removing my makeup without having to incorporate another product to do it. Once I've washed my face, I use witch hazel as my toner. I like the flat cotton pads to apply it. It's very cheap and super effective...way better than a lot of the more expensive toners I've tried in the past. This one is from here for the link. And then every other day I exfoliate, using either my homemade face scrub - I'll go over how I make it below, or my Clarisonic  Then, last but not least is moisturizer, and I also use the CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion. It's a fabulous moisturizer, lightweight and super hydrating. The perfect moisturizer. And that's it!

When I wash my face in the evening, I always do it twice, just to ensure I get ALL of the make up off. Then it's toner time... I use the same cleanser and toner here, the only thing I do differently is the moisturizer. Instead of the CeraVe one, I use a hydrating lotion from Burt's Bees. It's nice and heavy but won't clog my pores or anything, and I also like to use it on my eye area, instead of a separate product. I think eye creams are basically the same as face creams, it's just another way for companies to make more money. That's just my opinion, if you have an eye cream that you love and believe in, let me know in the comments below. I'm always open for switching things up or improving my routine. :) And that's it for night time. Very quick and easy.

And these are a couple of my favorite face masks. I like to use a mask about 2 times a week. These are both amazing, they make my face feel and look really fresh and smooth. The Origins one is from Sephora, and the Yes to Tomatoes one is from Target, but you can get it pretty much at any drugstore.

Here are my treatment products. The acne spot treatment is from good ol Target, it's super inexpensive, but it really works great, I apply it to troubled spots before bed. And the tretinoin is a prescription product, I love this stuff. I put on on my cheeks before bed, it's great for treating acne and also it's for anti-aging. It definitely burns and I can't put it on every single night, as it can be kinda strong. I usually go 3 nights on and 3 nights off. My cheeks then peel slightly and then I'm left with clear, smooth glowy skin. Don't put it on your forehead (or around your eyes!) or nose. Because when it peels, it will be very unsightly looking.
For my "homemade/D.I.Y" face scrub, all I do is mix a bit of baking soda with my face cleanser and gently rub the mixture in a circular motion for a half a minute or so and it's literally a great exfoliater.
Anyways, that's it! Thanks so much for reading and I hope you're having an awesome day.
